Wedding Officials
The person who pronounces you ‘man and wife’ will be largely dependant on your spiritual belief, background, and traditions. You and your soon to be spouse will have to agree the style and content of your ceremony. If you have been members of a church or group chances are you will want your church figure to perform your ceremony. If you choose to go it a more non-religious way that can be customized to your belief system a Marriage Commissioner may be the way to go. Either way you choose, if you do not have an existing relationship with the individual ensure you meet with them and you will be happy with what they will do for you. Some religious leaders will only perform marriages in the place of worship, some commissioners will not allow changes made to the content of the ceremony. These points will need to be taken into consideration when choosing your official.
